This week we prepared it to celebrate the birthday of the man of the house, Papá Noel and it turned out so good that we had to share the recipe with you.
This vegan apple flan is creamy, naturally sweet, and completely plant-based.
It’s made without eggs, without gelatin, and without baking, using sweet apples, oat milk, and agar agar to achieve the perfect flan texture.

Ingredients
• 2 sweet apples
• 2 tablespoons date caramel (or fresh dates)
• 1 cinnamon stick
• A splash of vanilla extract
• 1 liter oat milk
• 1 packet agar agar (4g)
How to Make Vegan Apple Flan
1. Prepare the apples
Peel the apples and cut them into small chunks.
2. Cook the apples
Place the apples in a saucepan with 100 ml of water and the date caramel.
Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes until the apples soften.
3. Add the milk and cinnamon
Pour in the oat milk and add the cinnamon stick.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil so the flavors can blend together.
4. Add the agar agar
Add the agar agar powder and stir continuously until it fully dissolves.
5. Blend the mixture
Remove the cinnamon stick and blend everything until smooth and creamy.
6. Chill the flan
Pour the mixture into a mold and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, until the flan sets.

For this recipe we didn’t add Mamita Hot Sauce… but you already know how we are.
We ended up enjoying this vegan apple flan with waffles and vanilla ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious.
